Mumbai Janata Dal (Secular) Urges Chief Minister
In light of the upcoming Ganpati festival, Mumbai Janata Dal (Secular) has raised a key demand with the Maharashtra government to bring financial relief to citizens impacted by rising inflation. A party delegation sent an official letter to Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, requesting subsidized grocery supplies during the festive season. As Maharashtra’s largest festival approaches, households require essential ingredients such as sugar, besan, rawa, and palm oil to prepare traditional sweets and delicacies. However, sharp price increases in basic grocery items have stretched household budgets across Mumbai. Highlighting this issue, Mumbai Janata Dal (Secular) urged the state government to take immediate action to support common citizens.
Through their letter, the party requested that the subsidized items be made accessible to all Mumbaikars without restrictive conditions. They proposed distributing these groceries through Public Distribution System (PDS) ration shops, as well as cooperative stores like Apna Bazar and Sahakari Bhandar. With the festival fast approaching, party leaders expressed confidence that a prompt and positive decision by the government would deliver much-needed financial relief to thousands of families across the city.
